"Junk Boating" in Hong Kong

During a visit to Hong Kong last year, some friends took me on a junk boat trip around the area of Sai Kung. I took this image while I was there and then did some post processing work in photoshop.

I wanted to give the image an old time feel... so I added a heavy texture in the background and warped it a bit. It kind of looks like an old photograph you might find buried in a bookshelf somewhere. I also really like how the sky and water colors fade from bright to dark. I was pretty stoked how it came out!

I was messing around with different photo filters and created this collage. I thought it was pretty interesting how the photo's characteristics changed with each color.

In case you're wondering, the original image was taken in Hong Kong... off the coast of Sai Kung (I had gone junk boating for a day). The sun was just about to set and it created a really cool effect with the mountains in the background.

Picture taken in Sai Kung during a "junk boat" trip. I really like how the color of the sky faded from left to right... sun setting to the left and a little rainstorm to the right.

I loved all of the bright colors on this boat... saw it during our boat trip around Sai Kung.
