Blurs of Life III

For this series of images, I wanted to remove clearly defined shapes and just focus on the colors that remained. I really liked how the bright/vibrant colors jumped out. It creates a somewhat peaceful atmosphere.

Assembled in NYC... a New Balance Story

I was in NYC for one day and had the opportunity to check out the New Balance Experience Store next to the Flat Iron Building. It was a cool little shop. NB actually transported part of their Maine factory all the way to New York (machinery and people). The woman showing us around had worked at the Skowhegan Factory in Maine and was brought down specifically to build shoes in the store. If you want, you can ask for her to assemble shoes right in front of you... doesn't get much more fresh than that!

A Lonely Fire Hydrant

All you need is LOVE...

A Real NYC Pigeon

I couldn't go on a trip to New York without taking the obligatory "pigeon shot".

A Yellow Sea of Taxis

A yellow sea of taxis... and not one willing to drive us to JFK airport (better to arrange for a driver to pick you up). We were lucky our flight got delayed.

Flat Iron Building

Two different views of my favorite building in NYC... on a rainy weekday.

Harvard Square - Street Performers

Puppet in need

The Harvard Lampoon Building

In the middle of Harvard Square is a very unique corner intersection... and at the point of this intersection is the Harvard Lampoon Building (or Lampoon Castle). The building is the site of the world's oldest continually published humor magazine.

Central Square - End of Summer

I went for a little bike ride down to Central Square for lunch and decided to take a few photos while I was there. I was trying to capture an "end of summer" vibe... as the outdoor patios will be closing down shortly.

U-HAUL - moving at the speed of college

U-HAUL... moving at the speed of college. During the first week of September, the streets of Boston will be covered with these trucks (recommended to stay away from college areas during this time period).

Walking Through Harvard Yard

Taking a stroll through Harvard Yard... so many beautiful old buildings.
