The Golden People of the Golden State

I went for an evening surf session at Rincon (aka "The Queen of the Coast") and decided to put my new camera lens (Tamron 18-270mm) to work after I finished surfing. I love the different perspectives that you can get with the increased zoom. These photos definitely support California's nickname as "The Golden State"!

Sunset Hike Part VIII - "La Fin"

Love the glow of the sky after the sun dips below the horizon. However, about 30 seconds after I took this photo, I realized that I had to hike back down the mountain without a light (other than the glow from my cell phone)... made for an interesting end to the evening. It was worth it though!

Sunset Hike Part VII - "One Last Gasp"

One last breathe before submerging beneath the ocean...

Golden Hour - HB Pier

I've posted several images already of the HB pier... so I assume that it's getting a bit redundant. Therefore, I promise that this will be the last one. I'm going to refer to this image as "Golden Hour". Right as the sun is about to dip below the horizon, the entire sky will glow a golden color. This actually can be slightly enhanced in California because of the smog/haze. The light reflects off of the smog and increases the glowing effect.
