Life and Death

An interesting quote I've heard many times is "Graveyards are full of indispensable men/women". It's something that makes me stop and think... especially when someone tells me that it's impossible to do something without a particular person. Yes, it might be more difficult, but it's never impossible. People always find a way.

This shot was taken from inside the Granary Burial Ground in Boston, MA... looking out at an old chapel. Ben Franklin's monument is covered in shadows to the left.
The sun just happened to be at an opportune spot as I was walking past the Ben Franklin memorial in Boston... captured this photo as it was ducking behind some trees. Thought it came out pretty cool.

Figured that since it was Halloween, this picture would be appropriate. The scene shows one of the graveyards in Harvard Square... with some fall colors in the background.

Here is the mouth of my Tomb Belonging to the Home of John Osborne... pretty sure that's what it says. Very interesting textures on gravestone and colors in background.

(another B&W photo) New England is filled with creepy graveyards in random places... Boston is no exception to this. Whenever I pass by one, it reminds me of all the people that came before me... and the sacrifices that they made. It's difficult to even imagine how different the world was 100 years ago. This particular photo was taken in Harvard Square.
