A Frigid Barrel
You may not believe your eyes, but this shot was actually taken in New Hampshire... and yes, that is a barrel. A cold front had passed through the area and it left us with about a half day of swell. I got to New Hampshire in the early afternoon and immediately went to a "semi-secret" spot (that's not really a secret). I really only refer to it as a secret spot because it hardly ever breaks well... and no one bothers to check it on most days. Anyways, the wave was breaking quite well this day and was actually barreling at take off. The water was cold, but no one was out... fun times! As with most swells in the Northeast, it was extremely short lived... and this spot was completely flat the next morning.
"Back Lit" New Hampshire
I took this photo towards the end of the day at a "semi-secret" surf spot in New Hampshire (can't consider surf spots to be fully secret when they have names and a parking lot). Regardless, this spot only breaks well when the waves are overhead in size (which does not happen to often). There are a bunch of jagged rocks and boils on the inside... and the waves need to be big enough to clear the rocks. Anyways, I liked the lighting and color of this photo. Thought it looked unique.
Nor'easter Dreamin' on Such a Fall Day
Sorry to everyone that lost their power... but I love Nor'easters! These pictures show a few reasons why.

Sunset collage. I was lucky enough to see an incredible sunset along the New Hampshire coastline. I probably took over 100 images that evening. The pictures I cobbled together above are all from the same sunset... just taken at different times. I thought it came out pretty cool. What do you think?

In the right light, at the right time, everything is extraordinary. ~Aaron Rose
Image taken from a coastal town in New Hampshire. The sun was just about to go down and was positioned right behind this house. It created a breathtaking silhouette.

Fox Hill sunset.
Beautiful sunset along the New Hampshire coastline. The sun was setting behind me and it made the entire sky glow. There were some really intense colors. Also, you might notice in the foreground that the point break (Fox Hill) was on fire. This is a surf spot that rarely breaks. It needs a really big swell. However, when it's on, you can get rides over 100 meters long. This was my first time surfing here. Usually, there will be over 50 people in the water when the surf is good. However, this particular weekend happened to be Boston Marathon (which is a big deal in New England)... so it was almost empty. Lucky me! Be careful getting in and out of the water at Fox Hill... some large boulders that you can get stuck on.

Not many words to describe this photo... taken as the sun was starting to go down along New Hampshire coastline. I just really liked the colors.

A non-snow related photograph... beautiful sunset along the New Hampshire coast line.
Picture taken on the last warm day of fall... which seems like an eternity ago.

Another non-winter related image... A misty autumn afternoon in New Hampshire. Across the street from Jennes Beach.

Another view of the amazing sunset I saw in NH. Because the wind was so calm, there were lots of planes cruising around the sky... the lines they created looked really cool against the background.

Looking back towards Rye State Beach, I saw this amazing sunset. In this picture, it actually looked like parts of the town were on fire.

The set-up at Straw Point in New Hampshire. Classic fall day... couldn't have asked for better conditions.
