Salvadorian Sunset

Tonight's sunset at Las Flores. Believe it or not, this was actually the worst sunset since I've been staying here (the other days I was too busy surfing to get a camera)... it was still pretty incredible though.

Two surfers make their way up the beach during the pre-dawn hours at Las Flores.

Nature Walk Around Las Flores

One thing that I've learned from my many surf trips over the years, is the importance of pacing yourself... especially if you're in a warm/tropical environment. With this in mind, I decided to take the afternoon off from surfing and take some pictures in the shade (going surfing again this evening).

BOS to MIA... en route to El Salvador

The city of Boston disappears behind the clouds as we make our ascent.

The beautiful blue waters and sky over the Atlantic.

A Simple Tree Along the River

I took this shot right as the sun was about to go down... did a relatively long exposure. There was a big light shining up at the tree which gave it an illuminated effect. This allowed you to see some of the details on the branches even though the sun was below the horizon. I really liked the combination of colors that were created.

A Different Perspective of the BU Bridge

The Boston University Bridge... my favorite bridge crossing the Charles. I just wish they would finish construction on it at some point.

Revels RiverSing - Harvard Square

Took a walk down to the Charles River on Sunday evening... and noticed a stage set up with people playing music. I decided to check it out. Apparently, there was a sort of festival going on to celebrate the upcoming equinox - Revels RiverSing. It was rather odd & eccentric with dancing butterflies and neon lights... at one point a jazz musician even came floating down the river. Only in Cambridge!

Blurs of Life III

For this series of images, I wanted to remove clearly defined shapes and just focus on the colors that remained. I really liked how the bright/vibrant colors jumped out. It creates a somewhat peaceful atmosphere.

Assembled in NYC... a New Balance Story

I was in NYC for one day and had the opportunity to check out the New Balance Experience Store next to the Flat Iron Building. It was a cool little shop. NB actually transported part of their Maine factory all the way to New York (machinery and people). The woman showing us around had worked at the Skowhegan Factory in Maine and was brought down specifically to build shoes in the store. If you want, you can ask for her to assemble shoes right in front of you... doesn't get much more fresh than that!
